LTE/5G Filter

Overview

The Channel Master LTE Filter improves over the air (antenna) signals by filtering out mobile LTE signal interference.

Check out the CM-7777HD, which has a built-in LTE Filter plus amplifies your signal.

The Channel Master LTE Filter is designed to clear your OTA TV signal path from the common interference created by mobile LTE signals. The proliferation of LTE signal towers and connected LTE devices are a common cause of intermittent television signal disruption because mobile carriers operate on frequencies that can be very close to your broadcast TV frequencies. These disruptions can result in weak signals, pixelation or even channel loss, and can be especially disruptive when using an amplifier with your TV antenna.

Channel Master highly recommends using an LTE Filter with TV antenna installations in metro and suburban areas in order to assure optimum performance. If you require an amplifier for your TV antenna installation, we recommend the Channel Master Amplify, a high-end amplifier that includes an internal LTE filter. If you are already using an amplifier with your TV antenna, the LTE Filter will work with your existing installation.

I didn't think it would work.

I am in the Harrisburg, PA area and I'm able to receive quite a few channels (up to 33; the major stations and all thier sub-channels; ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, NBC, PBS and a couple of independent stations) with just an indoor antenna at each television. I seem to have to constantly adjust my indoor antenna locations because no matter how perfect I get the antenna placed, it seems the weather affects the reception or the stations signals go wonky. I saw a YouTube video from the AntennaMan (https://youtu.be/Ew9Aj7s6pjs?si=8ZabYYda1QjE3d1N) that talks about the interference from the LTE/5G cell phone spectrum due to an FCC repack of TV stations (much of TV spectrum has been sold to cellphone companies). I never would have believed how much effect the repack actually has on TV reception, but it's true. I don't have to move my antennas around anymore and I'm getting better reception from some of the stations. I advise anyone with a TV antenna to get one of these filters.

Didn't expect a miracle

But, I got one! After replacing antenna cables & repositioning antenna, I still had frequent & frustrating pixilation on my CBS/Fox affiliate, just 12 miles away. Thought that a cell tower 1/4 mile away might be the problem & took a chance. Amazing on all channels & my Tablo recordings are now perfect. Thank you!

Easy to install, didn’t affect my TV signal strength. With the increased use of 5G phones I want to protect against interference so I got this Low Pass filter.

This filter absolutely made an improvement

Using a Mohu Leaf inside my home in Charlotte, NC I was able to get clearer reception and a few extra stations.
