Open Box TiVo Edge Antenna DVR - 500GB (with All-In Service)

I had been waiting for channel master to have these units again and when they emailed me the unit was available I ordered one. Delivery was fast and setup pretty easy. Having the lifetime subscription transferred was a little tricky. The TiVo agent I spoke with had a very thick Asian accent and was almost impossible to understand. But finally did get it done. At first I couldn’t get unit to work. After much troubleshooting I found the remote control was sent with dead batteries. I stated recording shows and found that not all OTA channels start on the hour. So I was getting the end of the show before my recorded show started and missed the end of my recorded show. I fixed this by adding 5 minutes to the end of my recorded show. Most channels record normal starting and ending on the hour. I contacted channel master by email with a question and they were quick to respond. I feel confident that the TiVo edge will perform as well as my cable dvr. In fact I returned my cable box today and canceled my cable. My bill went from 205.00 to 70.00 a month. If all you watch on tv is on OTA channels you can save a lot on Money by getting this unit through channel master. I have had the unit for about a week and this is my honest opinion so far.

My TIVO was very easy to install (as advertised) and, so far, easy to use.
I love that I am now "free" from my tv's scheduling. I watch my favorite shows on MY schedule.

I bought the Tivo Edge OTA to replace my old Roamio OTA that was still running after 10 years! (an eternity in electronics). It still works great but was just frustratingly slow to navigate through the menus and run apps. I had skipped the Edge when it was still selling new because I could not justify replacing a working Roamio unit. However, as the apps became more power demanding I recently discovered that the Edge OTA was no longer available, so I had no choice but to limp along and put in a request to Channel Master that if they ever became available again, let me know but was not expecting much. Well, much to my surprise, Channel Master DID come through! I received an email about some factory refurbs now available and bought one the same day. I could not be happier! It was packaged like a new unit and is WAY faster. The improvements are all good and no monthly bill for Tivo services anymore as lifetime service is paid for as part of the purchase price! The setup was a breeze and I could keep the old one active so I could watch the recorded content and recreate the "OnePass" options I had for a smooth transition. Thank you Channel Master!

I have had about 5 Tivo Roamios. I needed another more updated dated model in order to work with my new WiFi 7. I am very happy with the DVR player itself but I am having issues with the remote pairing with my Sony TV. It pairs but doesn't function right when I press the volume & mute. I am just using one of my many older remotes but I will keep the player . The channels I received from scanning was exceptional. I do have the Clearstream Max antenna with the Titan preamp though Channel Master.

I received notice that the TiVo Edge for antenna was back in stock but that it was a refurbished unit. I called and spoke to the person at Channel Master who assured me that if there was a problem, I could return it. It arrived in just a few days and I am so happy to say that it is working fine. The people at Channel Master are a pleasure to work with and are so helpful. I am so happy to have my new TiVo.
