LTE/5G Filter

Overview

The Channel Master LTE Filter improves over the air (antenna) signals by filtering out mobile LTE signal interference.

Check out the CM-7777HD, which has a built-in LTE Filter plus amplifies your signal.

The Channel Master LTE Filter is designed to clear your OTA TV signal path from the common interference created by mobile LTE signals. The proliferation of LTE signal towers and connected LTE devices are a common cause of intermittent television signal disruption because mobile carriers operate on frequencies that can be very close to your broadcast TV frequencies. These disruptions can result in weak signals, pixelation or even channel loss, and can be especially disruptive when using an amplifier with your TV antenna.

Channel Master highly recommends using an LTE Filter with TV antenna installations in metro and suburban areas in order to assure optimum performance. If you require an amplifier for your TV antenna installation, we recommend the Channel Master Amplify, a high-end amplifier that includes an internal LTE filter. If you are already using an amplifier with your TV antenna, the LTE Filter will work with your existing installation.

Works, IMO

At least, it's made things a heckuva lot better. I live only about 3 miles from my TV station's antennas (or the majority of them---one's about 5 miles away). The two big player stations in this rural area decided to use the same brand-new antenna, to replace one of the station's sticks that had been up...since the early 1950s. This was last fall. Further, those stations were once mid-VHF, and went to UHF with the antenna move. At around the same time, 5G cellular was improved in my area. This combination has been the perfect storm...for subpar OTA reception. What was (is?) causing it? 5G interference? Adjustment period for both stations and their transmitters? Leaves falling out of the trees (fall), and now freezing of the broadcast antennas (winter)? Me using a Channel Master Amplify? Don't know. What was happening is, approximately every 10-15 minutes...channels would go pixelated, three "blips" in a row (one second blip, one second normal, etc.). Suspecting 5G issues, I decide to order this filter and go without amplification, taking the Amplify out of the system. And? Mostly voila! There are still occasional dropouts, but not near as much. I suspect the well-below freezing weather we've experienced has caused some of the issue, but again, this filter has mostly fixed the problem. Note I am using the Danny Hodges UHF/VHF antenna indoors. It gives me the most consistent signal of the ones I have tried.

What a Difference!

For quite some time now, I thought the fluctuating brightness of my projector’s image was due to a flaw in it. As soon as I heard about cell phone signal interference due to bandwidth allowance changes to accommodate them, I decided to give this filter a try. I am now enjoying the best consistent, as well as sharper image I have ever had.

Works

Low power uhf stations no longer drop or pixelate.

Better than hoped for

Stopped the pixilation on all chennels that have signal strength above 50% , plus it looks like the picture quality on some is better than ever - sharper images on Panasonic Plasma .

Worked perfectly

Working really well and added about 3 new stations to my area. A+
