Broadcast Interactive Media and Channel Master Partnership Introduces New Antenna Selection Tool for Consumers
Madison, WI--(July 17, 2013) - - Broadcast Interactive Media (BIM), the leading provider of ad optimization and data services platforms for web and mobile publishers, today announced a strategic partnership with Channel Master, manufacturer of Digital TV antennas and accessories. Throughout the partnership, Channel Master will utilize BIM's patented location-specific technologies to power its own antenna selection tool.
Antenna Choice, a web utility, helps consumers that want to "cut the cord" with their cable or satellite provider. The tool will help them discover which antenna will capture the most available free, over-the-air programming.
Antenna Choice prompts the user to enter an address and select an antenna type: indoor or outdoor. That information is used to calculate which channels may be received at that location and displays the specific Channel Master models that best receive them. Information on each recommended antenna's placement and orientation for optimum reception is also provided.
BIM's Antenna Selector technology (Patent #6,832,070) has been integrated seamlessly into the Antenna Choice selection tool that is accessible across multiple Channel Master websites and supports the entire US nationwide footprint.
"Antenna Choice was developed to address the thousands of inquiries we receive from consumers asking, "Which antenna do I need and what channels will I get?". With the help of BIM, we believe this easy-to-use and intuitive tool will greatly help consumers new to antennas select the best antenna for their location. The selection process is simple for anyone who does not have the technical know-how to select an antenna on their own," stated Joe Bingochea, Director of Product Management at Channel Master.
"We're excited to advance the use of our technology with Channel Master, and we strongly believe that both companies will benefit greatly from this partnership," added Mick Rinehart, SVP Products and Data Services for BIM.
The Antenna Choice tool is immediately available for use at AntennaChoice.com
